Abstract
A person with disability (PWD) is an individual who has physical or mental impairment such as impairment in body structure or mental functioning and PWD always face some obstacles in their life such as getting negative perception from person without disabilities. This study is conducted with the purpose of investigating the public perceptions towards disable employees in Sungai Petani, Kedah and what are the variables that lead towards those perceptions. This is because not only towards PWD, perceptions and attitudes also have significant impact on everyone's life. The convenience sampling method was used and 381 questionnaires were distributed to the visitors of the Central Square mall who are conveniently available to participate or present during the distribution of questionnaire. Based on the finding, it shows that Stereotypes of public towards PWD has the most influential factor that contributes to the public perceptions towards disable employee in Sungai Petani, Kedah. As a conclusion, this study has identified the factor that contributes to the perception of public towards disable employees in Sungai Petani, Kedah.
