Abstract
The study examines the effectiveness of employees’ communication in the public service organization. A sample of 30 employees includes an employer in Jabatan Bomba Dan Penyelamat Malaysia at Alor Gajah were interviewed on the major issue of communication. The importance of employees’ communication at the workplace had been examined. On the staff side, their communication between each other in the same department and with other department in making communication effective to get information was examined. Beside that, the communication structure of the organization had been practiced accordingly towards the order and goals. The employees’ communication between each other more important in doing their work with some reporting to ensure the work done and the services provided efficiently to public. The study does not provide strong evidence of effectiveness of employees’ communication in the organization in determining the efficient communication in the workplace to provide the good information and services as well as improve and develop the performance of the organization.
