Abstract

The achievement of high job performance is an important thing for all companies to maintain their company’s image in a long period of time. However, in order to achieve it, there are many factors that may restraint it. One of it is stress. Most of the study showed that worker who faced with the high pressure and stress at the workplace has a lot of negative impact rather than positive effect such as may lead to a low job performance. Hence, it is important for the company leader or manager to identify the factors of stress that may lead to job stress which subsequently will affect the job performance of the employees. Therefore, research is being conducted to study the influence of five stress factors which are role overload, role conflict, relationship at work, compensation or salary and work-family conflict on job performance. The questionnaire had been distributed to the employees of Maestro Laboratories Sdn Bhd. From 90 of the employees populations, 73 of them had been selected as a respondents using sampling random sampling techniques. All the questionnaires are 100% have been successfully collected by the researcher. The data was then being analyzed by using the Statistical Package for the Social Science (SPSS). The result showed that from five independent variables which is being choose, role overload, role conflict, relationship at work and compensation or salary are found having significant relationship with the job performance. While, work-family conflict was not having a significant relationship with the job performance.
