Abstract

Purpose and Scope of Report: This paper aim to examine the relationship between the five organizational culture dimensions (power distance, individualisms vs collectivism, masculinity vs feminine, uncertainty avoidance, long-term orientation vs short-term orientation) and organizational performance. The study involved some selected employees who have been working at Kuala Selangor District Council (KSDC). The aim of scope of the study are to determine relationship between organizational cultures on their organizational performance and which dimensions of organizational cultures that will give big impact on organizational performance of KSDC. Methods: Data were collected from 118 staffs of KSDC that were been selected as respondent to answer the questionnaire. The researcher used random sampling technique to distribute the questionnaire. The study was conducted at Kuala Selangor District Council (KSDC) from March 2015 to May 2015. The researcher used SPSS version 21 windows statistical software to analyze the data and used Pearson Product Moment Correlation and Descriptive Statistics to evaluate the studies. Findings: The questionnaires were been distributed to 118 selected respondents and all of the questionnaires were completely answered by respondents. The findings also show there have significant relationship between organizational culture and organizational performance. Conclusion: The aim of studies is to examine the relationship between organizational culture and organizational performance at Kuala Selangor District Council (KSDC). Through the studies, the researcher can conclude that relationship between organizational culture and organizational performance are Moderate. Recommendation: The researcher was provided a few suggestions to improve organizational performance such as the organization's culture must treat male and female staffs equally, communicate your expectations and emphasize personal accountability, the supervisor or manager should lead their supercoordinates a positive role for example, make good relationship between employees and employers, the different gender between masculinity and feminine and the researcher should do the research related the study at private sector rather than at government sector.
