Abstract

The objective and scope of the study is to determine whether the application of the ergonomic that have been implemented in Majlis Daerah Pontian is satisfied the employees and does the employees have participated to the ergonomic application. This research also determine whether the employer contribute their commitment in applying the ergonomics application in Majlis Daerah Pontian. There are three research questions; first does the application of ergonomic have satisfied the employee in Majlis Daerah Pontian Second do the employees give their participation in applying the ergonomic in their office Third does the employer contribute their commitment in the usage of the ergonomics. The researcher needs to find a Jot of reference for the literature review to support the data for this study. The researcher found the literature review from the references books, journals and also website. Besides that, the researcher also studies a previous thesis as references to more understanding. The literature review is collected from journal and books. By doing this research, the researcher using primary data and secondary data as sources in gathering information. Researcher have distribute 50 the questionnaire to the respondents. For the sampling technique, the researcher used nonprobability sampling technique which convenience sampling. Convenience sampling is method that drawing representative date by selecting people because of the ease of their volunteering or selecting units. Based on Salkind (2012), the audience is a captive one, and it is a very convenient way to generate a sample. For the finding and analysis, the researcher has used SPSS to analyze the data. The researcher used demographic description to compare the mean for the purpose to find differences between ergonomics, employer commitment, and employee participation and employee satisfaction. Pearson Correlation Analysis also conducts to test the relationship between all three variable in this research. Research Questions will be answer in chapter 4 to see the rate of three variables in this research. Lastly recommendation that researcher suggest such as the office management should provide maintenance for the facilities. Other than that visit other higher level office for take the idea about the facilities management and management also can send their staff to the mining for them learns about how to handle the job process. The recommendation for further study also provide for improvement in the next research.
