The relationship between office ergonomics and job satisfaction among UiTM Jengka, Pahang office staff / Farouk Mohd Nasir, Mohd Sharil Abu Yamin and Muhamad Huzairy Mokhtar

The job satisfaction often views as negative emotional reaction of individual to work related stress. Each worker has the possibility to face with those elements at their world place an office. Therefore, this correlation research design had focus on the relationship between the office ergonomic element and job satisfaction among UiTM Pahang office staff. The element of the office ergonomics includes office environment, chair, keyboard, monitor, additional equipment and working position. The total of questionnaire is 113 and 68 work receive and this is equivalent to 60.17% of the respond rate. Mean value for job satisfaction is (3.72). Mean value for office ergonomics element office environment (3.27), chair (3.47), keyboard (2.91), monitor (3.57), additional equipment (3.68) and working position (3.47). From the findings, the respondent absolutely does not agree that they faced with the problem of job satisfaction at their workplace. Gender also did not give any relationship and references of the level reaction. The recommendation also stated to practice office ergonomics within the organization and at the same time increase the level of job satisfaction among UiTM Pahang office staff.
