Abstract
This study was carried out in Sekolah Kebangsaan Tok Jiring, just out skirt of Kuala Terengganu. The samples are the year six pupils of the school with various level achievements in English Language. These pupils have completed 5 years of studying English in the Primary School and now is in their final year and going to face the Ujian Penilaian Sekolah Rendah at the end of their year six. But their mastery in English is still very poor.
This study has used the case study approach as a method of research to enable to understand the pupils’ point of views in their natural environment context. From the data analysis, three issues have been identified relating to the downfall of pupils’ achievement in English Language. They are the characteristics of the English teacher, the time management during the teaching and learning process and the misbehaviour management by teacher during the teaching lesson.
