Abstract
Training in public sector gives the opportunity for the employees to
increase their knowledge and skill. The selection of employee for training by the
top manager plays an important element in the organization. This study wants to
see the correlation among seniority, environment, and position with political
consideration. Moreover, the study also conducted to examine the application of
political consideration in selecting employees in the public sectors among public
managers. 100 respondents were involved in this study which came from three
different public sector organization which includes Immigration Department of
Sabah, Ministry of Domestic Trade, Co-Operatives and Consumerism of Sabah
and Royal Customs Malaysia Sabah. The result shows that there is a relationship
between seniority, environment, and position with political consideration. The
study also found that there is differences political consideration and genders.
Some recommendation also includes in this report for the used in future study.
