Abstract
This study investigated on the relationship between transparency in public
sector and the correlation with public trust and confidence. Challenges may
occur when public are concerned about public sector's transparency. The
other issue is public's knowledge on transparency and how it affected public
trust and confidence. There are several objectives developed from this
research; the relationships between public sector's transparency and public
trust and confidence and second is how well the publics know about
transparency. The scope of this study is involved certain area in Kota
Kinabalu which are Likas, lnanam and Menggatal where 200 respondents
have involved. The data collection for this study is primary data which is
through the distribution of questionnaire to the respondent. This study used a
probability sampling technique which is the stratified sampling wherein the
researchers divided the entire population into different subgroups or strata
and then randomly selected the final subjects proportionally from the different
strata.
