Abstract

Nowdays, manufacturing industry are aware of the importance of having safety and health training for foreign workers. The organizations have realized on the importance of having safety and health training for foreign workers because it enables to minimize accidents and injuries in workplace and also help the company to become more effective. So, it is important for company know how to improve safety and health training for foreign workers. The research is done in order to identify the components to improve safety and health training in Yty Industry and Malayan Flours Mill Berhad, Perak. This research is conducted by using the qualitative method. The data in this research are collected by using the interview. The research result presents the findings of the interview session with the employees in the company. It can be concluded that there are three components that been identified which are current practices, barriers that hinder the effectiveness of training and the interventions to overcome the barriers. The results obtained can be used and important to the organization and the scholars or future researcher. The practitioners can use the findings from this research to help them to recognize the areas that need to be enhanced and components to improve safety and health training among foreign workers in their organization. This research also provides benefits by contribution to the general knowledge of the area of safety and health training and able to improve the future researcher understanding of components of motivation among the employees.
