Abstract

Employers in all sectors required a good performance by their employees to ensure the services offered by them are accomplish accordingly. In organization there must be more than one department as to handle and monitor each of employee’s performance. To ensure they follow the best practice, good communication skills and knowledge management would contribute to the job satisfaction and it would generate the employees loyal to the organization. There are many factors that could contribute to the job satisfaction of the employees such as good management, best practice of working environment, good rewards as well as from the individual perspective also play main role to achieve the satisfaction on their working life. In this research is concentrating on the study on factors contributing to level of job satisfaction among the oil and gas employees at Duyong Platform, Kerteh Terengganu. The oil and gas industry is identified to be one of the key drivers of the growth of the Malaysian economy. Oil and gas are considered among the world's most important resources. The oil and gas industry plays a critical role in driving the global economy. Petroleum itself is used for numerous products, in addition to serving as the world's primary fuel source. The processes and systems involved in producing and distributing oil and gas are highly complex, capital-intensive and require state-of-the-art technology.
