Abstract
Employees Provident Fund (EPF) is one of the main social security organizations, which provides many benefits for its contributors. In this research the focus is what the perceptions of private employees towards EPF benefits are. In addition, the factors that influenced the perception of private employees towards EPF that have been identified includes the scheme provided by EPF, EPF as a trustee fund, the procedure or system use by EPF, the issue arise about EPF, the scope of job and also the responsibility of employer. By using the crosstabs and frequency to analyze data most of the factors are influenced the perception of private employees towards EPF. Some of them resulted to negative perceptions due to the issues arise regarding EPF condition. Besides that the issues pertaining to EPF and file procedure or system use by EPF are the main factors that influence the perception of private employees towards EPF. Due to the result of findings the recommendation to EPF organisation and the contributors of EPF as well as the private employees who contribute for EPF saving have been suggested in order to increase the effectiveness of EPF schemes and to avoid any negative perception towards EPF.
