Abstract

The development of wood panel industry in Malaysia is in good condition. Moreover Malaysia is third largest exporter of wood panel products after Indonesia and Canada which accounted twenty nine percent of the total export of wood-based product. It is proved by the increase of wood panel plants from year to year. The highest of wood panel export was plywood and followed by fibreboard. These products have a high demand from develop country like Japan, United States of America and China. Therefore, the problems facing by wood panel manufacturer can be settle using advance technologies, reduction of production costs and wastage, greater utilisation species from small sized logs and greater utilisation of residues from harvesting and wood processing wasteful.
