Abstract
Oriented strand board (OSB) is one of many wood composites. Today, this panel is the most admired engineered wood for worldwide since this tremendous material replaces plywood for building construction. Acacia mangium is elected to determine the strength properties of OSB from this species. The mechanical properties are Modulus of Elasticity, Modulus of Rupture, and Internal Bond while for physical properties are Thickness Swelling, and Water Absorption. The results of these specimens will be compared to the minimum requirement of British Standard (BS 5669). The optimum treatment is suitable to form OSB from Acacia mangium.
