Abstract

A moulding is a narrow strip shaped to a curved profile throughout its length. The function of it are for furniture, wall, floor and many more. Besides that, it is used to accent and ornament furniture and room interiors. They also conceal surface and angle joints. They are available in many different sizes and shapes. The moulding material may be softwood, hardwood or plastic. Even though it is a major secondary processing industry but, it has a big potential to be a number one processing industry in future because it is not marketed for one shape of moulding only but it has many shapes to be marketed in future locally and internationally. In addition, it is not using only one type of machine but, there are four main types of machines can be used. Therefore, manufacturers have to provide any good idea to make sure wood moulding industry will be the main contributor earnings for our country besides taking chances and opportunity that has given from the government.
