Industrial training report: Metropolitan Utilities Corporation Sdn Bhd / Nor Fatin Mohd Tarmizhi

My memorable and enlightening 6-month industrial training began here at Metropolitan Utilities Corporation Sdn Bhd (MUC). This internship report details my internship period which started on 29 August 2022 and ends 10 February 2023. The MUC offers various professional services including privatisation of total regional water distribution and supply organization.
I have been assigned to work in the finance and accounting department. Here, I had learnt how to issue payment for rental, insurance, and handle with suppliers. I had succeeded in every assignment that given to me by my supervisor. Additionally, I am the one internship that have an opportunity to temporary replace a maternity leave staff duty with the guide of the supervisor itself. From my observation, this company is the best place to start and develop your career and skills since their willingness to invest in the training and development of its employees. Such companies make time for growing the talent and capabilities of their workforce. They encourage employees to participate in various career development and skill development programs. For examples, MUC invite me in their private and confidential meeting to talk about their company budget in overseas which can improve my skills and knowledge.
MUC is regarded as one of the best managed and most efficient of the regional water supply companies in Malaysia by undertaking the water management of sourcing, treating and supply of treated water to end users in Perak. MUC operates two water treatment plants, namely SIS II and Ulu Kinta, with a water production of 412,000 cubic meter a day, contributing approximately 30% of treated water to the State of Perak.
In conclusion, by weighing the pros and cons inside and outside the company, the reader can understand the relevance of the analysis by the conclusion of the components of the SWOT Analysis.
