The process for obtaining the Sewerage Works Application (SWA) approval and Sewerage Works Completion (SWC) approval / Mohd Mustafa Abdul Malik

Sewerage systems are one of the most important infrastructures in construction of residential, industrial or commercial project as it determines the quality of life enjoyed by a community. This report will discuss about the process for obtaining the Sewerage Works Application (SWA) approval and Sewerage Works Completion (SWC) approval. This report was conducted for project 'Proposed Construction of 1 Unit 2 Storey Bungalow on Lot 212228, Taman Peranginan Lembah Meru, Jelapang, Mukim Hulu Kinta, District of Kinta, 30020 Ipoh, Perak Darul Ridzuan'. The objective of this report is to identify the procedure that should be followed for obtaining the Sewerage Work Application (SWA) approval and Sewerage Work Completion (SWC) approval. The interview session has been made with the civil & structure engineer who's a competent person. The main finding from the interview session was that there are several requirements and specifications from Suruhanjaya Perkhidmatan Air Negara (SPAN) that need to be complied with for approval. If the competent persons do not follow the requirements and specifications from SP AN, the application for SWA approval and SWC approval will not be approved.
