Abstract
The physical environments in the organization are giving an impact towards the people who work at the office, the health problem arise if the organization do not take the necessary step to prevent the problem occurrence. This research is a correlation research design that focuses on the relationship between the physical environment and work-related musculoskeletal disorder (WRMDs) among UiTM Pahang office staff. The element of the physical environment includes the office furniture, desktop and layout. The total questionnaire distributed is 75 and 47 were collected, it is equivalent to 62% of the respond rate. The mean value of office furniture is 3.56, mean value for desktop is 3.88 and mean value for layout is 3.20. From the findings, the analysis shows an evidence of strain and WRMDs of their body areas reported by respondent. It also shows a sign that the organizations needs to have do something regarding the problem before the negative impact started to develop such as absenteeism and job dissatisfaction. There is several recommendation such as provide ergonomics and comfortable equipment, medical check-up periodically, comfortable office layout, and health campaign to reduce the impact of the WRMDs among UiTM office staff.
