Abstract

As part of this Social Media Portfolio (SMP), a standalone assignment, the student must pick a company and create a Facebook profile. For this task, students must first sign up on the Go Ecommerce website for business owners before creating a Facebook profile for the selected company. Students are required to provide teasers, soft-sell copywriting techniques, and hardsell copywriting techniques to the Facebook page. Additionally, students must receive at least 91 likes on their pages.
In this assignment, we chose a food business that sells a product from a local company. We decided to choose NZ Crunchies' product as our business because this brand is popular in Malaysia. As our research shows, this brand is open to people who want to be agents, and the mode of being an agent is cheaper. Because of that, we share our modalities and do our business together. The company's Facebook page is called A&S Crunchies Palam. The Facebook page includes teaser, hard sell, and soft sell copywriting techniques, as well as graphic artwork.
Our target customers are people who want to make their lives easier every day, who find food at a cheaper price, and who like junk food. This is because our products cost only RM10.00 per jar and RM2.20–RM3.50 per pack. This price is reasonable for people in Malaysia, and it also makes their lives easier without the need to cook every day.
Our business was launched in May 2023 after acquiring an approval certificate from Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia (SSM). Since our customers can come from anywhere as long as they find NZ Crunchies products, we don't focus on any particular region. If it is not convenient for them, they can use our services and transact with us online without having to meet in person.
The marketing approach for the A&S Crunchies Palam product is the stated price on the product poster on the Facebook page. Negotiation over the discounts is permissible as long as it guarantees their pleasure and gives us a profit. Customers will be interested in our strategy because we value their needs and wants. At the outset of running this business, we prioritised building relationships within the local community. This assessment taught we a lot of things, like how to talk to a potential client, how to improve our self-image & confidence, and how to learn new skills as a result of doing the job.
