Abstract

The purpose of this research project is to explore and investigate the Medical Librarian in a Government Hospital : The Essentials of Knowledge and Skills. The results of study will improve the needs as profession of medical librarian. Medical librarian or health sceinces librarians in the specific context tells about the needs of roles as medical librarian in information-seeking skills, background education, knowledge and subject field. Overall, the essential of medical librarian will contribute a lot of benefit to human being in information about medical term, education area, research, patient care, skill and many more. Most of medical librarians work in libraries that are located in academic health science centers, hospitals, corporations, the goverment, sociecties and etc. In addition, the nature of the health science library collection provide a lot in printed and online database such as Australian Journal of Physiotherapy , MEDLINE, and etc. Overall, the roles of medical librartan in information management that related with medical terms and will continue for a very long time.
