Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine the factors that influence stress among university students in Selangor during the pandemic of Covid-19. Among the factors that be included in this study are online distance learning, social distancing and fear of contagion. The study was conducted for two semesters and used Cluster sampling technique in data collection. The data collection process took four weeks and involved 303 respondents from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Bangi (UKM), Management and Science University (MSU) and Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Shah Alam. Then, the data collected be processed and analyzed by using IBM SPSS Version 26 in order to come out with findings and result. The results show that there is a significant relationship between all the factors with stress among university students in Selangor during the Covid-19 pandemic. The results of this study have highlighted the factors influencing stress among university students in Selangor and some recommendations have been suggested as a way to provide insights for the universities, the government, parents as well as future researchers.
