Abstract
3D's jobs are some kind of job that involve criteria that are dangerous, dirty, and difficult. The awareness of these kind of opportunities seem to be overshadowed by negative impressions of people that seen demeaning and tarnished one's reputation whom entered these sectors. As the result, the participation among Malaysian youth were low and this opportunities were being grabbed and dominated by the foreign workers. This study examines the involvement of youth in 3D's jobs sector and level of willingness of youth who are interested to participate in these jobs from the point of view of Malaysian youths in Kota Kinabalu. A random sample of 300 youths from Kota Kinabalu City with age range between 15 to 40 years old were interviewed on two major issues. The researchers findings show the level of willingness were moderate. Meanwhile, the results clearly highlighted that the youth in Kota Kinabalu will only agree to work under a certain circumstances which is when all the factors associated with their willingness are improved to another level that is more worker friendly in term of salaries offered, working environments, safety and health.
