Abstract

This report presents the final year project architectural design of the restaurant is Restoran Cheng Ho. This project is a project to upgrade a restaurant that I examine each in the face all the problems in general and design problems. The general problem, now more concerned with the rapid development of commercial buildings where the buildings were demolished old buildings indiscriminately. Design problems were the reason for my final project proposals. Firstly, no systematic planning space. Inadequate facilities, plus non-functional space. Based on that, I would better understand the purpose, scope, methods, constraints and so forth. There are ways that I do to obtain information and data that are useful and even essential in connection with this project. Among them are interviewing, observing, researching, Internet and studying case. Interview goes well with the manager of the restaurant, Mr. Alvinch Tan. All information obtained is input from him. The case studies are a way in which a process or research records where detailed consideration is given to the development of a specific point in time. The examination is based on studies that have been specifically designed their project. The case studies were reviewed of which are Wazen Japanese Restaurant, Pappa Rich, Confucius Restaurant, Shun Feng Restaurant and Shun Fung Chinese Restaurant. It is successfully solving a problem and knowledge. Concept restaurants have been selected to create a new situation in which an image can be projected. The concept is Legacy Urbanism, which means focusing on the presence of past and various forms of urban space. The conclusion are, with the purpose of the project that I created highlighted, all problems can be solved, simplified space planning problems, continued investment of resources and money to improve and the production process and product quality, provide new image and intensity in a restaurant and that all problems can be overcome at once to save old buildings from the tainted history.
