Abstract

The main objective of the survey research is to assess the effectiveness of Anti-Drugs
Campaign. Anti-Drugs Campaign was very significant in order to tackle the number one
enemy of our country. It is a strategy or mechanism in combating drugs related
problem arise around the country by raising the level of awareness and knowledge of
the people about the dangers of drug abuse. The objective of this research survey on
the level of awareness and knowledge of the Creative Arts Program undergraduate
students about the dangers of drug abuse as a result of the Anti-Drugs Campaign.
Based on the findings, the undergraduate university students of Creative Arts
programme (Theatre, Dance, and Writing) have a moderate and slightly low level of
awareness and knowledge about the danger of drug abuse. The level of awareness
and knowledge about the danger of drug abuse has no significant differences in terms
of the undergraduate students' demographic background which consist of age,
gender, ethnicity, semester, family income and residence. However, the level of
knowledge and awareness about the dangers of drug abuse has a significant
differences across the three major of the undergraduate students. The Anti-Drugs
Campaign is quite effective and the undergraduate students with the total of 149 has
moderate level of awareness and knowledge and the remaining 148 students has low
level of awareness and knowledge about the dangers of drug abuse as well as there
is no significant differences in terms of the undergraduate students' demographic
background.
