Defect liability period, DLP (Home buyer responsibilities) / Siti Nur Fadiah Abdul Aziz

This report is all about the information of my case study through practical training under company Kenwingston Sdn. Bhd. during the four months of practical training. The topic I have choose to complete my practical training report is homebuyer responsibilities in the context of defect liability period. This report has five (5) chapter which include all information about the company, theoretical study/literature review about the topic that I choose, information about my case study based on the topic that I choose, problems and recommendations that have been analyse, and last but not least is conclusion of the my practical training report.
The first chapter is details of information of the company. In this chapter, all the general information about the background of the company, the company director’s profile that managing the company and the organization that always support director to manage the company. It also content of the objective, vision, mission, and company corporate culture for clients, employees, company and collaboration and company certificate. This chapter including key plan, location plan, and site plan of the company to know where the headquarters of the company located. The second chapter is all about the general information for the topic that have been chosen which is in the context of theoretical study/literature review. In this chapter, information was collected from the articles, books, and on internets that related to the topic. This chapter content of introduction of the chapter, details of defect liability periods, and it’s objectives and procedure. Also, there is general information of the main topic which is homebuyer responsibilities during defect liability periods including the Homebuyer Tribunal and added some of the information about contractor responsibilities. The third chapter is about case study on the topic of defect liability periods and the introduction of the case study. In this chapter, there is overview of defect liability periods and it’s procedures that implement on site. Also the main topic of purchaser responsibilities of case study and last but not least is summary of the chapter. The forth chapter is about the problems and recommendations based on the case study. Then, the last chapter is about the conclusion of the main topic which is purchaser responsibilities in the context of defect liability periods base on the case study. This report also include the references and appendices that have been used in this report.
