Industrial training is a key component of the learning curriculum University Technology Mara (UiTM). Students are required to pass the industrial training prior to the award certified in a particular organization for one semester to expose them to the working environment.
The training also embed moral qualities in themselves as a student of the nature of trust and responsibility in carrying out the duties and confident in making a decision. The industrial training, the students are faced with many challenges and problems that need to be identified.
Therefore, preparation, both mentally and physically to undertake and complete the task. In addition, training is also required to be carried out for all students in last semester in Diploma of Building Survey at the end of the year 2013/2014. This training run for 4 months
from 25 November 2013 until March 29, 2014. I have applied for industrial training in the department of Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) Complex PKNS, Shah Alam. Here, I was placed on the Property
Management where this company used to managing the maintenance of the buildings owned by PKNS at Shah Alam. During this training, I was given the opportunity to follow the technicians those guide the certain areas in Shah Alam, Selangor. The technicians in civil department will usually maintain the building from any damage related. During industrial training, I was given for 8 hours a day, from 8.00am right up 5.00pm daily from Monday to
Friday. This Industrial Training report title is Low Cost Housing Defect. Therefore, in this report tells us about defect, problems and budget spend in a building that has been selected as a case study.
