Roof construction of single storey houses / Muhammad Hazim Abdul Suki

This report will focus on the construction of pitch roof that commonly built by my company. This report will devide into several chapter which began with introduction and ending with the conclusion of the roof construction.
My company is Anjung Tulus Group Holding Sdn. Bhd that fully belong to bumiputra. The company is located in pasir pekan kelantan. My company based business with developers who build houses on their own land. My case study of pitch roof costruction is located at Lot 930, Mukim Kutang, Daerah Wakah Bharu, Jajahan Tumpat, Kelantan. The period of time to complete of build a roof at this house during for 9 days using 2 skilled and 2 unskilled workers. The total cost for built the roof at this house is Rm 14,291.50 including the material cost and labour cost.
To make a roof is not easy but requires expertise that is too high for workers in the home plan that does not provide details of roof construction but only the roof plan, section and elevation by arkitect. this report discuss about the method of construction in detail starting from the clean surface of the top roof beam before putting the wall plate on the roof beam and end up finishing construction of the roof. After ,the report also discuss about the jointing in the roof truss will provide additional strength to the roof truss rather than a roof truss without using jointing.
In this report also describes in detail about the roof member found in roof construction includes the function of the roof member.
