Abstract
The research emphasizes the factors that make people pay zakat. Zakat is considered to be a religious duty, and is expected to be paid by all practicing Muslims who have the financial means (nisab). In addition to their zakat obligations, Muslims are encouraged to make voluntary contributions (sadaqat). The zakat is not collected from non-Muslims, although they are sometimes required to pay the jizyah tax. For this research ,a structured questionnaire was constructed to collect the necessary data to answer the research question as being framed on related affective factors that make people pay zakat. In this research, the
researcher had selected workers who have high probability to pay zakat. This study also required the researcher to analyze the data by using frequency distribution , Reliability
Analysis, chi-square, Pearson’s r test of Correlation and regression analysis . Based on that, the researcher can determine a systematic association between more than two variables. From the finding, it can be conclude that worship, organization management, tax rebate, income level and attitude and behavior can be the factors that make people to pay zakat . From that , this is important to make sure that worship, organization management, tax rebate, income level and attitude and behavior are the factors that make people pay zakat
