Abstract

The aim of this study was to examine the effect of the human capital development towards increasing income of poverty people in Kelantan. There are four factors that been studied, which were education, skill, health and training of individual. The objective of this study is to see the effect of the human capital development. Then, the findings of this study will be beneficial to the poverty people and institution of welfare. Data were gathered from the questionnaires which were distributed to 100 respondents of the poverty people listed from the program of eKasih. The data were analyzed using Statistical Procedure of Social System (SPSS) through the frequencies analysis, mean analysis, and correlation coefficient analysis. Based on the results obtained in this study, the researcher found out that all of the independent variables used in this study are significant towards the dependent variable of the study. The variables are education, skill, health and training of individual. Moreover, the researcher has derived one model using ranking analysis for this study. The researcher suggests some recommendations to the Jabatan Pembangunan Persekutuan and Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat such as increasing of the training program, increasing the ease of education and health. The suggestion is also aim to the poverty people to increase their income through the development of human capital and it will contribute to the reducing of poverty line in Kelantan.
