This paper looks into how Cloud-based applications of Point of Sale (POS) systems are integrated into teaching restaurant management. Several conventional ways of teaching are often not effective enough in helping the students meet the demands of the modern restaurant business environment. Informing students about a web-based point-of-sale system enables them to take part in practical activities such as selling, ordering, inventory as well as customer care. The students work with equipment and materials that are commonly found in actual restaurants; hence, they can use the information available to make informed business decisions. In this way, teachers can train their students in practical areas that help them thrive in the hospitality world. In addition, there is a possibility to use the system for in-class and distance learning purposes as it is very mobile and supports different kinds of teaching activities. Furthermore, students are better prepared to enter the job market, while the system significantly reduces operational costs for educational institutions and is eco-friendly.
