Abstract
Limited number of Malaysian contractor who are participate in construction project abroad. Government had a programme with target to winning back market share domestically and competition in international market. Malaysia contractor need to participate more in internationalise construction practices. The aim of this research is to identify the challenges of Malaysia's contractors in Malaysian international project. The objectives of this research are to identify the factors that influence the involvement of Malaysia's contractors in Malaysian International projects, to determine the barriers that influence the involvement of Malaysia's contractors in Malaysian International projects and to promote involvement of Malaysia's contractors in Malaysian International projects. The survey was carried out by using questionnaire method. The respondent are the contractor Grade G7 registered with Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB). Respondents are required to rate the factors using their experience involved in local and international projects on how all factors affect their involvement in international projects. Consequently, the data obtained was analysed using SPSS and Microsoft Excel. The analysed data was presented in the form of pie chart and table. The result from the survey indicates that, previous experience on the similar project boost the involvement of contractor in international project.
