Abstract
The maintenance of religious buildings such as mosques is critical for their longevity and their role in the community. This study explores the maintenance management practices at Masjid Qariah Air Mati and Masjid Al-Fatta in Bota, Seri Iskandar, Perak. The research aims to identify the types of maintenance management practices implemented, examine the key building components requiring regular maintenance, and assess the impact of effective maintenance on these mosques. Using a qualitative approach, data were collected through interviews with mosque personnel and a review of relevant literature. Findings indicate that both mosques predominantly utilize corrective and unplanned maintenance approaches. The research underscores the importance of developing more proactive and structured maintenance strategies to enhance the sustainability and functionality of mosques. The insights gained from this study provide valuable guidance for mosque administrators and policymakers seeking to optimize maintenance management in religious buildings.
