Abstract
This academic research explores the challenges that final year students at College of Built Environment students at UiTM Seri Iskandar encounter when they buy their first house following graduation. The main goals of the study are to identify expected challenges and rank these challenges. As part of the research methodology, a thorough data collection process is employed to obtain input from respondents. This feedback is then analysed to assess the level of preparedness of students and the different challenges they expect to meet. According to the results, students feel reasonably equipped to purchase their first home, and early exposure to obstacles in the real world is important. The high cost of possible properties, a lack of affordable housing, and the requirement for financial planning are among the primary challenges that have been highlighted. The survey also shows that stable employment opportunities, the need for privacy, and long-term financial preparation are what drive students. The study also emphasizes the significance of early property education and the influence of economic issues, such as inflation, on house affordability. To improve the purchasing power and preparedness of soon-to-be graduates, suggestions for future students and opportunities for additional research are offered.
