Abstract

Floor is some of the important elements for the building, the construction of floor helps in providing the comfort for the building occupants to walk and live in the particular building. So it is important to make sure that the floor was construct in good quality and smooth texture. To ensure its smooth texture, the screeding work need to be held correctly. Floor screeding work play an important role in providing the smooth surface of the floor. Floor screeding work in construction industry usually was held either by using a trowel or floor screeding machine. The used of floor screeding machine help in reduce the time taken for the screeding work to be completed. However, there is some issues and problems occur during the screeding work by the machine which there is an excessive screed that was left after the screeding work that require workers to remove it manually. Other than that, the used of floor screeding machine will contribute to the harm towards environment where diesel and electricity was used for the operation of the machine. This problems and issues can be solving with the new innovation product which is the automatic floor screeding robot utilising kinetic energy through vibration. This innovation project focus on the improvement that will made the screeding process smooth and easy to operate which only require a worker to operate and monitor the robot. The innovation project is one types of robot that use the kinetic energy and solar energy to operate the robot. The concept of using the kinetic energy comes from the chronograph watch that was operate without battery. Kinetic energy that was produce through vibration during the machine was operate will be used for the operation of the robot. While, for the solar energy it will be collect by the solar panel on top of the robot to be used for the sensor camera. Last but not least, the innovation project aims to provide a good improvement for the screeding work which will help to ease the work and improve the productivity in construction industry and at the same provide the sustainability construction towards the green development.
