Abstract
During my internship at Mesra Retail and Café Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Petronas Dagangan Berhad, I served as a Finance Intern specializing in Procurement and Contract Management. This role provided an invaluable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the financial operations of a leading retail and café chain within the petroleum industry.
My key responsibilities included assisting in the end-to-end procurement process, and facilitating the drafting, reviewing, and administration of contracts to ensure compliance with corporate policies and legal standards.
Through my efforts, I also enhanced contract management practices, and reducing contract-related risks. This internship allowed me to develop key skills, including analytical and problem-solving abilities, negotiation and communication skills, and proficiency in procurement and contract management systems. Overall, this experience significantly enriched my understanding of the financial aspects of procurement and contract management, preparing me for a successful career in finance. I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to Mesra Retail and Café Sdn Bhd and look forward to applying these learnings in future roles.
