Industrial training report: Abdul Rahman Richard Architect Sdn Bhd

In the six months of the industrial training programme at Abdul Rahman Richard Architect Sdn Bhd, the finance intern gained extensive experience with architectural finance procedures. Interns were responsible for preparing financial statements such as cash flow, balance sheet, and income statement, as well as monitoring and planning budgets. Additionally, he handled accounts receivable and payable, tracked spending,managed budgets, generated reports for feasibility studies, and performed financial analyses. The company introduced a new spending monitoring system,which improved accountability and transparency, and it produced quarterly financial reports on time to manage costs. Furthermore, the intern analyzed and improved the budget planning process for a large project, which led to more accurate financial forecasts. Through this program, the interns enhanced their analytical and communication skills. They gained a deeper understanding of financial principles and developed critical skills in financial software competency. As part of the event, participants also gained a practical understanding of financial rules and compliance specifications relevant to the architecture industry. Through the intern's efforts, the business was able to improve its financial processes by involving finance experts in the team. It is recommended that future finance interns become familiar with project management procedures, attend client meetings to learn about financial negotiations and contract administration, and complete training in the latest financial tools and software. It was a great experience that prepared interns for success in the architectural field by developing their understanding of real-world practices and money management skills.
