Abstract

My internship at iFast Capital Sdn Bhd, which ran from March 1, 2024 to August 9, 2024, gave me valuable insights into the operations of a respected financial organization in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. As a student pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons.) Finance at Universiti Teknologi Mara in Arau, Perlis, this internship was a significant part of my academic career since it allowed me to apply theoretical knowledge in a real-world situation.
This report begins with an updated version of my resume, followed by a thorough evaluation of the company's profile, which includes its name, location, history, vision, purpose, objectives, goals, organizational structure, and products or services. Part 4 of the report contains a reflective analysis of the training experience, which is followed by a comprehensive SWOT analysis focusing on strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, as well as in-depth discussions and strategic recommendations. Finally, this report includes a comprehensive analysis of the key findings and observations.
Reflecting on my internship experience through a SWOT analysis provided some crucial insights:
Strengths: iFast Capital excels in encouraging open communication and mutual support among its team members, resulting in a creative and productive environment. Clear guidance and mentorship programs ensure that tasks are executed successfully, which improves overall organizational performance.
Weaknesses: Misunderstandings amongst coworkers led to delayed decisions and knowledge gaps, underlining the need for enhanced communication techniques and information sharing.
Opportunities: Embracing technological advancements allows businesses to streamline processes and enhance service delivery. Strategic collaborations with industry leaders open up chances for market expansion and innovation.
Threats: Currency fluctuations and cybersecurity risks jeopardize financial stability and operational continuity, necessitating robust risk management strategies.
