MUP438 : Piano accompaniment I / College of Creative Arts

The students in MUP438 will be exposed to the basics and fundamentals of accompanying instrumentalists or soloist. Students will be introduced to the basics of accompaniment of the various styles within the music literature for successful accompaniment. In addition, students may experience further developing skills such as sight-reading, transposing, harmonizing, and improvising according to the required periods of accompanied music. The materials and instruction are unified to develop mature musicianship. Students are required to engage soloists to accompany and attend classes.
