Abstract

Maritime transport plays an important role in developing a healthy import and export world. In order to establish an optimum import and export environment, a perfect port is required. Basically, the most significant player in ports are the wharf, container yard and container freight station. Therefore a study is conducted in order to improve the efficiency of Container Freight Station 2 (CFS 2) at KPM. The purpose of this study is to analyse the problems of stuffing and unstuffing operation, equipment management, accident rate and cargo security. An efficient stuffing and unstuffing operation at CFS 2 should do in order to reduce the operation time, improve the equipment management, reduce the accident rate and reduce cargo security problems.
