Abstract

In today's competitive industrial environment, it marks by changes in the workforce's competency needs. Competency skill is a need to every fresh graduate for them to meet the expectation of their employers. This study aims to identify the competency skills expected by the industry towards new graduates and the most expected competency by the employers towards the fresh graduates. This study adopts a qualitative design, which is an argumentative type of research. The thematic research method is being used to collect data in conducting this study. This type of design will be used when the researcher uses the older article and journal to fitid tile most expected competency skills needed by fresh graduates from employer expectations. This study also used and depended on secondary data. As a result, from previous studies and relatable research, we identified five competency skills vital for employers in hiring fresh graduates, and the most look for communication skills.
