Abstract

Writing short film sets the basis for students to learn about the art and craft of storytelling in order for them to apply the key principles in creating feature film screenplay in the future. This course introduces students to idea conceptualization to writing it for screen. Students are exposed to the basic characteristics of writing short film that are engaging and appealing. In order to ensure that students are able to apply the characteristics, students are required to write short film scripts in this course. Each student’s work will be discussed and commented in several workshop sessions.
