These figures is for the investigated cases, imagine the figures for non-investigated cases that company reluctant to report to the DOSH, the figures might increase and this situation gave the ultimate worrisome not only to the government, but also everyone in the country. Hence, the objective of this study is to identify the factors that affect safety awareness among employees. Especially one who worked around Kuala Lumpur and Selangor regardless their sector and position. Safety awareness is the dependent variable while the independent variables are office climate, management commitment, employee attitude and company policies. The target population consisted of employed person in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor. According to Data of Statistics Malaysia, total of employed person in Kuala Lumpur is 824,400 while in Selangor is 3,446,700. Hence, according to Krejci and Morgan (1970) table, the sample should be 384. However, the researcher did not following the sample size and total respondents collected was 108. The data was analyzed by using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 22 and the results obtained were analyzed by using correlation analysis and multiple regression. Based on Pearson correlation analysis, office climate and company policies have strong relationship with safety awareness while management commitment and employee attitude have moderate relationship with safety awareness. However, for multiple regression analysis found that only office climate has the most significant relationship with the safety awareness (β=0.713, p=0.000). It is advisable for the future researcher to increase the number of sample in order to get all independent variables significant even though this study shows the R2 is 62.5% influenced the dependent variable, safety awareness.
