Abstract
This course design dissertation model the integration of activities traditionally deemed co-curricular into academic courses offered at the Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Negeri Sarawak. The co-curricular activities were addressed as the best way to gained experience in practicing management skills and it created a bridge between in-classroom and out-of-classroom learning in the UiTM campus. The study is to identifying the perceptions on the students themselves on their participation in such co-curricular activities and the factors that influence them to involve in the activities. A random sample of 200 students in Faculty of Administrative Science and Policy Studies were given the questionnaires and focusing on their suggestion and opinion to enhance more worth activities. From the feedback, it is surprising that most students not very satisfied in joining activities conducted and more improvement need to be done. In addition, this study is an effective guideline for those interested in organizing a learning community within the co-curricular clubs or association that extends into the campus community. Although the co-curricular were designed focusing on the community semester one until three, this co-curricular can easily is adapted for other parts of students who interested in expanding learning beyond the classroom, while enhancing learning within the classroom.
