IDT311 : Diploma project II / Faculty of Art and Design

This course brings together all the studies that students have hitherto undertaken in the diploma course. At this stage students will learn how design can be enhanced when they can strategically incorporate explorations of form, function, ergonomics, materials and technologies. It provides the opportunity for students to demonstrate their capacity to integrate all aspects of Industrial Design project work in a holistic project that demonstrates professional competence. Learning and teaching activities design studio will involve project based learning, supported by activities such as demonstrations, lecture style presentations, consultations, in-class exercises, examples, formal and informal pin-up presentations.
