IDT267 : Industrial design studio I / Faculty of Art and Design

This course is an intermediate level covering 2 specializations project which is automotive design or furniture design. At the beginning of this course, students will be exposed to the basis of research and problem solving such as literature review, information retrieval, data collection and data analysis based on the theme given. As a studio-based course, the process of developing ideas for conceptualizing to reality is a key requirement after research has been done. Creating initial sketches, brainstorming ideas and finalizing designs are among the processes that students will face in this course to further enhance their skills in producing designs that meet the necessary criteria. Furthermore, all these skills enable students to understand the design process cycle and give them the advantage of being competitive in future.
