Factors influencing safety behavior of employees in making a safer workplace in Johor Port Berhad

This research conducted as the purpose to identify and determine the factors that influence the safety behaviour of the employee in Johor Port Berhad in making workplace safer. This research involves 152 of data from respondents in Bulk and Breakbulk Department. The data being collected using survey questions, where the employee will be given set of questions regarding the safety behaviour in the workplace and the employee have to answer all of the question on each section. The researcher uses quantitative method analysis as to analyse the data from the respondents. Before the actual study being implied, the researcher conduct a pilot test as to identify the significant factors that may contribute to the safety behaviour. Hence, from the pilot test result, the independent variables being identified includes; adherence to safety procedure, safety climate and individual characteristic of impulsiveness. The researcher run then conduct a pilot test for 80 employees to test the validity and also the reliability of the research questionnaire as to ensure that the respondents able to understand the questionnaire. Then, the researcher run for the actual data of the 152 out of 250 of employees which is in the same population of department. The researcher uses SPSS Software to run the result from the respondent.
