Abstract
This study looks into the financial performance of public listed companies in industrial products on the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange. Various financial ratios are used to evaluate the financial strength and weaknesses of the companies selected in this study. The financial analysis assists in identifying the major strengths and weaknesses of a particular company. It indicates whether the company has enough cash to meet obligation, a reasonable accounts receivable collection period, an efficient inventory management, sufficient fixed assets (plant, property and equipment) and adequate capital structure which are necessary if the firm is to achieve the goal of maximizing shareholders wealth. It is also used to assess the companies' viability as an ongoing enterprise and to determine whether a satisfactory return is being earned for the risks taken.
