FFT233 : Theatre for young audiences / College of Creative Arts

This course is designed for students to understand the fundamental concept of theory and acting skill and preparation of becoming an actor of Theatre for Young Audiences. Students are exposed to various approaches and styles of Theatre for Young Audiences that appeal to young. Students are trained to be creative in generating ideas for a performance that emphasize on educational values. Students are required to perform a Theatre for Young Audiences in selected schools under the Theatre in Education (TIE) plan. This plan is to give students industrial exposures and experience hence students are able to obtain valuable practical knowledge. Basic understandings and knowledge of children’s psychology for the course is essential.
