Abstract

A playground is a place that have been designed especially For children. The colourful playground can attract the children to spend their leisure time to play with others. It is also the place where the children can have interaction with other people especially in the range of their age. It is also (he place where the children can have interaction with the other people especially in the same range of their age. It is the important area for the children to enjoy their leisure time and participate freely in doing physical activities with their family and friends. Play is important in order to develop the social patterns of behaviour which allow children to interact with their peers. Public playground is a part of play environment for children (C Notion, .1 Nixon, .1 R Sibertt, 2004). In order to develop better behaviour of children, they should be exposed with safe play of environment in order for the children to adapt better life and growing environment. Playing at the safe place will lead the children to have better future as they are not being exposed to unsafe environment. Children are in the phase of growing. They should be exposed with safe environment especially at their play area. Wei I-designed playground will help the children to develop their skills and also increase their social interaction among other people. Mostly, playground are designed for children age from 2 years old until 12 years old. This is where they are in the phase on wanted to know and try everything especially in term of interaction, self-behaviour and so on Playgrounds that promote different types of play are vital for child cognitive, physical and social skills, emotional intelligence, independence, self-esteem and self- conlidence. Without a good range of play opportunities, the children may lose the chances to develop themselves (Afsharlahoori, 2007).
