Abstract
Candidates are expected to investigate systematically specific musical topics related to the performance/non-performance issues of works they are studying. Historical research topics on musical period of Baroque and Classical Music; Romantic and early 20th Century Music; Modern Music since 1950; Operas; Orchestra; as well as extra-musical and socio-cultural themes related to issues of performativity are encouraged. The outcome of the course can be an academic paper equivalent to a conference proceeding.
